Technique and Style: The Portfolio page exhibits samples of both my mixed media and the hand painted watercolor style. Each style depicts the architectural illustration with a different character. The watercolor style is a looser hand painted technique. The mixed media style is a more realistic interpretation of the design. Artwork is rendered on archival quality watercolor paper or museum quality illustration board. As an architectural illustrator my objective is to beautifully characterize your design with the artistic quality of fine art illustration. |

After careful consideration of the design and the site, I will loosely sketch out a study to determine shade, shadow and lighting composition. Entourage, people, and cars are blocked in for position and scale. Through the use of hue, saturation and value I will create a point of focus that will guide the viewer into the design. A color palette will be created to emphasize material design selections. Communication: From preliminary perspective layout, to the finishing touches on your artwork, you will receive progress images every few days. Colors, materials, and design details are rendered to your complete satisfaction. Presentation: Final architectural renderings can be delivered professionally framed and matted. Project identification plaques or a design firm title can be added to the image or to the framing. A high-resolution scan of the final architectural illustration will be provided at no extra cost. |
